Most other therapists are specialised or have only one standard training in one of the main three; Counselling/Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, or Life Coaching whereas Kevin has all of these combined along with the experience to tailor fit these to your needs.

I follow the professional ethical guidelines of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). This means information about you is not shared with anyone without your expressed permission. Exceptions to confidentiality are; if children are at high risk of harm, or if you are at high risk to yourself or others.

Many of Kevin’s clients have their phobias, fears, procrastinating, unwanted habits and limiting beliefs successfully overcome in one session. Other complex issues that Kevin has worked with, can take longer to overcome. There is no magic number or formula to determine how long it may take. We will speak regularly about your therapy goals and ensure your needs are being met. Please bring this topic up at any time during therapy and I will openly share my thoughts. You are the person who decides when you have done enough work.

We exercise, focus on our diets and go to medical professionals to look after our physical health. We also take our cars for regular services to keep it all running safely and smoothly, therefore life coaching and therapy is just like that.

Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. It's a relaxed state of mind, gently allowing you to tune out of your conscious mind and daily routine. Kevin can then access your subconscious mind, that is open to change.

The conscious mind is in neutral and the subconscious mind is in gear. Kevin suggest ideas, concepts and lifestyle improvements to you, during your altered state, after an in depth session to understand your individual needs. Everyone is unique.

For example, if you want to overcome a fear of flying, you may try everything consciously to do it, but will still fail as long as your subconscious mind retains this terror – therefore preventing you from succeeding solo.

Long term progress can be made by reprogramming your subconscious/unconscious landscape of the mind so that deep-seated instincts and beliefs are challenged and therefore altered. You can remain fully awake and aware of your surroundings and situation during hypnosis.

It is paramount you want to change your behavioural habit or addiction and are motivated to do so, you have to want the change for it to be fully effective.

Life is ever evolving and we need to move forward for positive outcomes. Our thoughts control our actions. 

Kevin currently works throughout Kerry, Cork and Limerick. Home visits can also be arranged as can online sessions. Walk and talk sessions are also available at a suitable pre-determined locations.

Cost can be discussed during free consultation, it varies according to a variety of factors which will be clearly outlined approx 55/60 euro a session. 

I will ignore you! But don't be offended. I understand that you may not want to tell just anyone that you are seeing a counsellor, so to avoid awkward questions and explanations, I don't greet any client I meet outside the office. But if you're ok with it, please feel free to say hi!

You have up to 24 hours before the session to cancel your appointment without penalty. The full fee will be charged if you provide less than 24 hours notice unless there is an emergency.

It's ok! It's really important that you talk to someone that you feel comfortable with, and, if for any reason you don't feel comfortable with me, just say so and I will be happy to refer you to another therapist.
